It started with a face oil.
A few bottles made for her own skin, shared with friends and family, who were blown away and asked for more.
Lavender and Love is a small, artisan skincare and wellbeing business, making botanical products for face, body, bath and self-care.
From those first day and night face oils, the range has grown into face balms, cleansing balms, natural soaps, body butters, bath and shower treats, and seasonal gift sets. Everything is still handcrafted in small batches in Wednesbury, in the West Midlands.
Ingredients are chosen carefully. Some of the plants are grown in the garden and on the allotment, and flowers and botanicals are dried at home to decorate the soaps. Her aim: to turn everyday skincare into a simple, sensory self-care ritual.
A note from the maker
I have always loved nature: my garden, the ocean, my allotment, the moon. I feel at peace and connected to the earth in so many ways.
My Lavender and Love journey began when I got fed up with high-end products boasting miracles. When I looked into the ingredients, they were disappointing and overpriced. I began to be aware of the impact of synthetic ingredients on my health and wellbeing, and wanted to use nature and all her goodness on my skin, so I created a face oil.
I could only buy the bottles in a box of ten, so I made one for myself and gave the rest out to friends and family. They were blown away and asked for more. I kept dabbling and learning how different plants and oils had different properties, and spoke to our mood and soul in different ways. With divine guidance I created my face oils for day and night use. This was the start of the story.
I then loved the idea of other products: natural soap, and combining my love of the garden with my products. I dry my own flowers and botanicals at home to decorate my soaps. My inner green witch is in her element when creating with intention: confidence, self-love and peace.
